Job Overview
The Automotive Parts Associate works in a fast-paced automotive environment that involves constant interaction with customers in person and over the phone. The role also involves maintaining the automotive retail floor.
Availability
Expected availability Monday - Sunday. Typical shifts 8:00 - 4:30, 10:30 - 7:00, 12:30 - 9:00.
Responsibilities
- Provides excellent customer service and ensures an ongoing commitment to the needs of the customer and their vehicle
- Answers questions and provides friendly advice and service to customers.
- Sources and orders parts for customers though authorized suppliers
- Ensures that retail basics tasks are executed efficiently (e.g., stocking, labels, facing, etc.).
- Keeps up to date on in-store promotions, in-store deals and auto centre specials
Requirements
- Organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service expertise.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Knowledge of automotive parts or related industry experience is an asset, however, individuals with a desire to take their first steps in the auto industry are encouraged to apply.
Physical Requirements
- Standing/walking for 8 hours
- Lifting and carrying of heavy merchandise
- Going up and down ladders
