Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Transfer Driver to facilitate cross-border transportation between Canada and the USA. This role requires a valid DZ license and involves the safe and efficient transfer of vehicles across international borders. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks with DZ or AZ license for cross-border transfers between Canada and the USA.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Navigate border crossings efficiently while adhering to customs procedures and documentation requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, transfers, and related documentation.
- Perform basic automotive troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle operability.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, and team members to coordinate transfer schedules.
Skills
- Valid DZ license with proven experience in commercial driving across borders.
- Ability to perform basic automotive troubleshooting on trucks.
- Basic understanding of cross-border regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with routes between Canada and the USA.
- Good communication skills for coordination with team members, dispatchers, and border officials.
- Ability to work independently and with a team with a focus on safety, efficiency, and compliance.
