Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Pet Groomer to join our team at our busy Sylvan Lake salon. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring they look and feel their best. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks with care and professionalism. We are seeking an individual with prior grooming experience that can provide a portfolio of previous work. Responsibilities
- Check in and out clients and communicate effectively with pet owners on their preferences
- Bathe, dry, and brush pets using appropriate grooming techniques and tools
- Trim fur, nails, and hair according to breed standards or customer preferences
- Efficiently complete walk-in services
- Clean ears and perform other grooming-related health checks
- Maintain a safe and clean grooming area at all times
- Communicate with pet owners regarding grooming needs and aftercare instructions
- Handle pets gently and securely during grooming procedures to ensure their comfort and safety
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety protocols throughout all grooming processes
Skills
- Strong customer service skills to build positive relationships with our clients
- Ability to handle pets gently while preforming grooming tasks, ensuring their comfort and safety above vanity
- Understanding and knowledge of grooming process, use of products and maintenance of equipment
- Physical strength for heavy lifting of large or heavy animals as needed
- Attention to detail to achieve precise grooming results
- Good communication and collaboration skills for interacting with clients and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, complete appointments within an allotted amount of time while maintaining quality standards
