Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans with trailers, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimize time and fuel consumption while meeting delivery deadlines
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections
- Verify shipment contents against delivery manifests, ensuring accuracy before dispatching or upon receipt
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and any incidents or delays during routes
- Lift and move HVAC materials and equipment
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license (G) with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols for transporting goods
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with team members and customers
- Has experience driving panel vans and enclosed trailers
