Job description
Kent Heritage Farms is seeking dependable and hardworking individuals to join our food processing team. As a Food Processing Plant Worker, you will assist in the preparation, packaging, inspection, and handling of food products in a fast-paced production environment while following safety and quality standards
Responsibilities
- Be able to withstand 2-3 hours in a cold environment.
- Be able to lift boxes up to 50 pounds above your shoulders.
- Self sufficient individual who is able to follow instructions.
- Sort, inspect, and package food products
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas
- Follow food safety and workplace safety procedures
- Load and unload materials as needed
- Work efficiently as part of a team to meet production targets
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or food production experience is an asset but not required
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to work in a cold or fast-paced environment
