Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar and Floor Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a lively hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food and beverage service, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Previous experience in restaurant management, hospitality, or hotel settings is highly valued, along with proficiency in food preparation, cooking, and POS systems such as Micros POS.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar staff and floor team members to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling to meet safety standards and quality expectations.
- Manage cash handling procedures accurately using POS systems like Micros POS.
- Lead team management tasks including interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hospitality industry standards.
- Assist with food service operations, including serving guests when necessary.
- Monitor the cleanliness and organization of the bar area and dining floor.
- Maintain excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Support restaurant management in implementing policies and procedures to enhance guest experience.
- Lead by example in hospitality excellence, teamwork, and leadership.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within the food industry or restaurant environment.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
- Leadership qualities with experience in team management and staff development.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Previous restaurant management or hotel experience is preferred; barista experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling regulations and safety standards.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to motivate a team effectively.
