Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Safety and Maintenance Coordinator to oversee safety protocols and maintenance operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with safety standards, coordinate maintenance activities, and promote a safe working environment. This role is essential in maintaining operational efficiency while prioritizing employee safety and equipment reliability. Experience in manufacturing environments and a focus on training & development are highly valued.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments across the facility.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and extend lifespan.
- Lead training sessions on safety practices, proper equipment handling, and emergency procedures for staff.
- Investigate safety incidents or equipment failures, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with management to identify areas for process improvement related to safety and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of safety trainings, inspections, incidents, and maintenance activities.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness through ongoing communication and training initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of safety protocols and maintenance operations.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices related to workplace safety.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for effective training & development sessions.
- Ability to analyze safety data, identify hazards, and implement corrective measures.
- Prior experience in training & development is preferred to facilitate ongoing employee education on safety standards.
- Certification in occupational health & safety or relevant technical certifications are a plus.
