Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Short Haul Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating vehicles for local deliveries and pickups, ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods within designated routes. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles for short-distance deliveries within the local area
- Load and unload cargo, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling
- Ensure accurate delivery of goods to designated locations, adhering to schedules
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status or issues
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations
Experience
- Proven experience driving commercial or large vehicles, with a valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type
- Experience with heavy lifting and manual handling of cargo preferred
- Strong knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns is a plus
- Excellent driving record with no recent violations or accidents
- Ability to operate vehicles safely under various weather conditions and traffic scenarios

Pay: $44,122.06-$153,074.97 per year
