NC Ron's Towing is looking for a reliable, organized, and customer-focused Full-Time Dispatcher to join our growing team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy helping people, and can confidently manage multiple tasks at once, we'd love to hear from you.
As the first point of contact for our customers, you'll play a vital role in coordinating our tow truck operators, communicating with customers, and ensuring efficient service throughout the day. Successful towing dispatchers typically excel at multitasking, communication, organization, and making sound decisions under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Gather accurate information from customers requiring towing or roadside assistance.
- Dispatch tow truck operators efficiently using phone, radio, and dispatch software.
- Monitor driver locations and job progress throughout the day.
- Prioritize emergency and time-sensitive service calls.
- Communicate clearly with drivers, customers, insurance companies, dealerships, and roadside assistance providers.
- Enter job details accurately into the dispatch system.
- Maintain organized records and documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service during stressful situations.
- Assist with general office duties as required.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous dispatch or customer service experience is an asset but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Knowledge of the local roadways and surrounding areas is considered an asset.
