Knox Contracting Group is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Commercial Project Manager to join our team.
We’re looking for someone who can confidently take ownership of commercial construction projects from start to finish with minimal supervision. This role is ideal for a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates well with clients and trades, and knows how to keep projects moving while maintaining quality, budgets, and schedules.

- Medical and dental facilities
- Commercial tenant improvements
- Retail and hospitality renovations
- Institutional and community projects
- Design-build and negotiated work
This is a senior-level role with real autonomy and opportunity for growth within a rapidly expanding company.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Managing commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Developing and maintaining project schedules
- Coordinating consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff
- Managing project budgets, change orders, progress draws, and forecasting
- Leading client communication and maintaining strong relationships
- Reviewing drawings, scopes, and specifications
- Ensuring quality control and site safety expectations are met
- Working closely with site supervisors and company leadership
- Maintaining organized project documentation and reporting through Buildertrend
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3+ years of commercial construction project management experience
- Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and sequencing
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong financial and contract management experience
- Experience with scheduling software and project management platforms
- Ability to lead teams and hold trades accountable
- Professional, solutions-oriented attitude
- Valid driver’s license
Bonus Points For
- Experience in medical or dental construction
- Estimating or pre-construction experience
- Existing relationships with local subcontractors and consultants
- Design-build experience
