Position Summary
We’re currently seeking skilled and experienced Pipelayers to join our construction team. Ideal candidates will have 2-5 years experience, preferably within the civil construction sector, less experience will be considered.
About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent and Site Foreman, the Pipelayer will play a key role in civil utility installation including storm, sewer, water, and shallow utilities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Read plans, confirm grades and use basic survey equipment(pipe lasers, survey level etc) to ensure accurate installation of pipe.
- Assist in the installation of manholes, catch basins, and utility piping
- Sound physical health, ability to lift 50lbs repetitively when called upon
- Collaborate closely with ground crew and operators to meet daily targets
- Complete Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs) and actively participate in site safety initiatives
- Ability to use GPS equipment considered an asset
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience pipelaying in civil construction
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with ground staff
- Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends on occasion
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00-$35.00 per hour
