Overview
As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of fresh cherries to cold storage, distributors, or retail partners. You will operate trucks within the local region and play a vital role in preserving product quality during transport.
Responsibilities
- Drive Class 1 vehicle for local deliveries
- Load and unload cherry bins or pallets using pallet jack or liftgate
- Inspect and maintain truck and reefer unit before and after trips
- Accurately complete delivery logs and transport documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and facility staff
Skills
- Valid Class 1 BC driver’s license with clean driving abstract
- Experience in agricultural or food delivery preferred
- Physically fit and able to handle loading tasks
- Flexible to work early mornings, late nights, or split shifts
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety checks
