Timbro Contracting Ltd. is seeking a full time, skilled, and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating excavators on mainline pipeline installation or civil construction projects, ensuring safe and efficient excavation while maintaining high-quality standards.
Shift: Night Shift ( 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM, Sunday-Friday )
Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators for mainline trenching, ditching, and backfilling
- Follow grade stakes and project specifications accurately
- Perform fine grading and detail work in tight spaces
- Safely expose and work around live utilities (gas, hydro, water, sewer, telecom)
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Communicate effectively with ground crew and spotters
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company and site regulations
- Maintain productivity while minimizing environmental impact
Requirements:
· Must be a professional equipment operator and have experience operating an excavator and finish operator, pipeline, sanitary is preferred but not necessary.
· 5-year construction experience is required.
· Strong knowledge of trenching, grading, and safe excavation practices
· Experience in civil construction is preferred.
· Tickets will be required upon hiring.
· Team player with strong prioritization, time management, and organizational skills.
· Positive attitude and inclination to want to help wherever possible.
· Flexibility to work in various job locations.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $32.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
