Intrinsic Air Systems Ltd. is growing and looking for an experienced, dependable Sheet Metal Installer to join our team as an independent subcontractor or on a part-time basis.
We're seeking someone who takes pride in their workmanship, works safely, and can operate independently on residential and light commercial projects. The ideal candidate is reliable, professional, and committed to delivering quality work.
Responsibilities
- Install sheet metal ductwork and HVAC components according to project specifications
- Measure, cut, fabricate, and assemble sheet metal components as required
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Ensure installations meet industry standards, building codes, and project requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work safely and follow all applicable safety procedures
- Coordinate effectively with contractors, clients, and team members on site
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Installer or in a related HVAC installation role
- Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication and installation practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical ability to lift materials and work in a construction environment
Assets (Not Required)
- Experience with residential HVAC installations
- Experience with light commercial HVAC projects
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Sheet Metal trade certification or apprenticeship experience
Requirements
- Valid driver's licence
- Reliable transportation (some job sites are not accessible by public transit)
- Own basic trade tools
- Strong English communication skills
- Ability to work legally in Canada
