Overview
We are seeking an experienced and talented Hairdresser. We are an established busy salon in Scarborough! The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hair styling, exceptional customer service skills, and a professional attitude. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment where creativity and client satisfaction are prioritized. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high-quality hair services, maintaining sanitation standards, and contributing to the overall positive experience to our clients in our salon.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, color, treatments, and styling tailored to client preferences
- Deliver excellent customer service by understanding client needs and providing personalized recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all work areas according to health regulations
- Upsell salon products and additional services to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, checking clients in/out, and handling payments
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure their expectations are met or exceeded
- Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and positive reviews
- Stay updated on current hair trends, techniques, and product knowledge through ongoing education

Requirements
* minimum of 5 years experience *
Proven diploma's/license/experience as a professional hairdresser with a strong portfolio of work is a must.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse clientele
- Proficiency in hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, and treatments
- Knowledge of sanitation practices within a salon environment
- Strong communication skills for effective client consultations and team collaboration
- Ability to upsell products and promote retail sales naturally during appointments
- Experience managing front desk operations or retail sales is advantageous
- Professional appearance with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
