About the Opportunity
We're building our tool repair and rental division from the ground up and looking for an experienced Industrial Mechanic who wants more than just turning wrenches.
This is a unique opportunity to help build a new division, establish service standards, and influence how the operation grows from day one. As the division expands, you'll have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibilities and develop into a leadership role at the corporate level.
This is a full-time on-site Mechanic role located in Richmond, BC.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Diagnose, inspect, service, and repair a range of industrial equipment, mostly under TMG Industrial brand, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Utilize all available resources, such as product manuals, in troubleshooting, determining procedures, and identifying parts needed for repair.
- Prepare rental equipment for customer pickup or delivery, ensuring it is safe and ready for use.
- Conduct thorough post-rental inspections, complete necessary repairs, and return units to rental-ready status.
- Work closely with TMG Customer Service team to diagnose technical issues and provide effective repair solutions that support an exceptional customer experience.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of inspections, maintenance, and work orders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of shop processes, maintenance procedures, and equipment readiness as TMG Industrial's rental division grows.
What You Bring:
- At least 3 years proven mechanical experience working on a variety of industrial equipment particularly with tractors, skid loaders or excavators.
- Expertise in diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, farming implements, or electrical systems.
- Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with a team.
- Comfortable with computers (for filling out inspections, inventory management, etc.)
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and performing the demands of the role, including frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and working in a warehouse shop environment.

Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
