Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled AV Technician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting audiovisual systems across various client sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in electrical and telecommunication systems, with hands-on experience in field service environments. Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain AV systems including audio, video, and telecommunication equipment.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues related to AV setups efficiently and effectively.
- Use hand tools and electrical testing equipment to perform maintenance and repairs on AV components.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure proper installation and troubleshooting procedures.
- Manage cabling infrastructure, ensuring proper routing, labeling, and safety compliance.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on AV equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to deliver tailored AV solutions that meet specific needs.
- Document service activities accurately and maintain detailed records of system configurations.
Experience
- Proven experience in electrical or telecommunication fields with a focus on AV or low voltage systems.
- Hands-on experience with field service operations involving installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of AV equipment.
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, mechanical knowledge related to hardware setup, and cabling techniques.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software troubleshooting, and network connectivity related to AV systems.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments requiring mechanical aptitude and technical expertise.
- Prior experience working with hand tools, testing devices, and following technical schematics is highly desirable.
