This is for a Full Time Regular opportunity for a Work Program Manager in the PCM Stations Programs Department within
Programs and Contracts Management. We are a team of delivery focused professionals that work with many others across
BC Hydro to deliver projects and programs with a primary focus on Generation, Substations, P&C, Telecommunications and
Dam Safety Assets. This is a multiple position posting with positions available on the following teams:
- Substations Electrical – A team that specializes in the delivery of Substation Electrical Programs which includes
replacement of substation disconnects, circuit breakers, instrument transformer, surge arrestors, and other substation
electrical equipment throughout BC Hydro.
- Substations Civil & Auxiliary Programs - A team that specializes in the replacement and repair of auxiliary and civil assets
within a substation environment which includes roofing, insulators, seismic upgrades, diesel generators, battery rooms,
security, HVAC, and other Auxiliary and Civil Equipment.
- Generation Maintenance & Minor Capital – A team that specializes in the Program Management of Maintenance & Minor
Capital Delivery for Generation and Dam Safety Assets.
- Substations Maintenance & Minor Capital – A team that specializes in the Program Management of Maintenance & Minor
Capital Delivery for Substations Electrical Assets.
- P&C & Telecom – A team that specializes in the delivery of maintenance, capital and regulatory programs for Protection &
Control and Telecommunication Assets.
- Civil Programs – A team that specializes in the delivery of Complex Maintenance Projects on Dam Safety Civil Assets
- Hazards, Regulatory and Safety – A team that specializes in the Program Management of Asbestos Programs, PCB
Programs, Equipment Phase-Outs and Customer Metering Kits Replacements.
- Reactive Equipment Programs – A team that specializes in the delivery of Maintenance, Regulatory and Capital Programs
for Substations Reactive Equipment. Work includes Power Transformer Life Extensions and Leak Repairs.
The roles includes:
- Define and implement programs & projects within established budget, scope and schedule, all while meeting quality,
safety and reporting requirements using program management principles.
- Work with stakeholders to plan, prioritize, estimate and schedule program work, including developing program
documentation to initiate and accomplish program objectives.
- Maintain strong relationships and high levels of engagement with delivery partners to guide work from initiation through to
completion, particularly with Engineering, Operations, Powertech, Supply Chain, Environment, Indigenous Relations, and
Safety.
