MIG Welder Job Description
Overview
We are currently hiring MIG Welders for a fast-paced structural steel company. This role is ideal for candidates who are freshly out of school and ready to put their skills to work immediately. Tickets and certifications are considered an asset but are not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on structural steel components based on provided specifications
- Assist with metal assembly and fabrication tasks as directed
- Operate welding tools and basic fabrication equipment
- Read and interpret simple drawings or instructions
- Follow all health and safety protocols on the shop floor and in the field
- Support the team in meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality workmanship
Requirements
- MIG welding experience (school experience is acceptable)
- Ability to start with minimal supervision—hands-on from day one
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
- Tickets are preferred but not required
