Note: This is a full-time or part-time position at the Addiction Recovery Office in Sudbury, ON. Directly reporting to the Addiction Counsellor; pay rate as agreed, based on experience, expertise, and applicable education.
COMPANY INTRODUCTION
Teen Challenge is a 12-month, faith-based, in-residence drug and alcohol rehabilitation program, for adults 18 and older. We currently have 8 centres located in Alberta, Atlantic Canada, Saskatchewan and Ontario that are able to serve up to 197 people who are struggling with substance addiction. We demonstrate God’s love by helping individuals become free from substance addiction and equipping them to live full and meaningful lives.
JOB POSITION DESCRIPTION
Our Addiction Recovery Office is looking for a full-time or part-time Outreach and Engagement Coordinator that has a minimum of two years’ experience.
The primary responsibility of the Outreach and Engagement Coordinator is to build meaningful relationships with individuals experiencing addiction (clients), including those who may be marginalized, unhoused, or in need of support and resources. The role is based at the Teen Challenge Canada Addiction Recovery Office, an inner-city hub serving the addiction recovery community.
A key focus of this position is the coordination and facilitation of recovery-focused support groups, peer support initiatives, and volunteer-led programming that fosters community connection, accountability, and long-term recovery. Additional responsibilities include creating and maintaining a safe, caring, and supportive environment, while coordinating volunteers, community partnerships, and programming that enhance the overall impact of the Addiction Recovery Office.
