Connors Diving Services operates, a 45' workboat in Halifax, NS.
We are currently seeking to fill one Deckhand position for part time (on call) work on an as required basis.
Charters are typically 4 hours to 12 hours in length within Halifax Harbour and are industry and scientific based, weekdays.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the safety of the passengers
- Assit with loading and loading passangers and equipment
- Assit with securing the boat at various locations
- Responsible for keeping the boat clean
- Responsible for preparing and checking vessel pre and post charters
- Responsible for assiting the captain with emergency procedures and operation of all safety equipment on board
- Demonstrate safety at all time
- Ensure adherence to all Statutory and legislative rules and regulations
Qualifications
- Marine Emergency Duties (MED or DVS)
- First Aid
- Experience with commercial small boat handling considered an asset
- Knowledge of local waters, marine hazards and weather conditions
