Clinical Audiologist

Join our successful team! Sound Matters (formerly HearSay Speech & Hearing Centre) is a pediatric private practice with a focus on speech-language pathology and audiology. We are not a hearing aid dispensary, rather our audiology services are for children ages birth to 18 years of age offering hearing testing, auditory processing (APD) assessments and therapy.
Located in Milton; our goal is to provide the very best service possible ensuring our clients are satisfied and confident in referring their friends and family to our office. With a solid professional presence in Halton, Peel and the GTA over the past 21 years. We are currently seeking to hire an experienced Clinical Audiologist for assessment of auditory processing disorders (APD) as well as conducting of the therapy blocks that are associated with the diagnoses of APD as well as child hearing tests, including newborn testing.
Note: this is not a dispensing Audiologist position. This role is focused on APD testing and therapy as well as supervision of other therapists carrying out goals related to the programing of APD.
The applicant must be energetic, upbeat with a positive outlook and possess a successful entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to provide excellent customer service, customer follow-up and maintain patient relationships.
Key Qualifications:
- License in audiology (applicable CASLPO)
- Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical setting
- Excellent relationship building and counselling skill-sets
- Results oriented with excellent follow through approach
- High initiative with a creative sales approach with the ability to increase revenue and maintain client caseload
- Exceptional prioritizing, planning and time-management skills
- Professional written and communication skills
- Professional presentation skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Required experience: 1 year of proven experience in a Clinical / Therapy setting
Required Licenses:
- Reg. CASLPO certification
Required Language: English
Compensation: This is an Independent Contractor position. Flexible work hours with compensation based on clients seen for services. Number of hours per week is flexible with part time (20 hrs) up to 30-35 hrs/week. This job requires you to work mainly from our Milton location, however some collaboration and travel to our satellite offices will be required on a monthly basis, as needed.
