What You'll Be Doing
As a Journeyperson Service Electrician, you'll work independently and alongside our team to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial electrical systems while delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Your responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing and repairing commercial electrical systems
- Installing electrical equipment, lighting, conduit, feeders and power distribution systems
- Troubleshooting electrical and low-voltage control systems
- Installing, maintaining and testing switchgear, transformers, switchboards and metering equipment
- Reading blueprints, drawings and electrical specifications
- Performing preventative maintenance and emergency service work
- Completing work in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code
- Maintaining accurate service documentation and material requirements
- Keeping your work area safe, organized and professional
- Building positive relationships with customers
- Mentoring apprentices and supporting team development
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is dependable, takes pride in their workmanship, and represents our company professionally on every jobsite.
Qualifications
- Licensed Journeyperson Electrician
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Elevated Work Platform certification
- Fall Protection/Fall Arrest certification
- Standard First Aid is considered an asset
- Comfortable working at heights
Experience
- Commercial service and maintenance experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience with commercial power distribution systems
- Fire alarm experience is considered an asset
- Proficient with the Canadian Electrical Code
- Able to read blueprints and electrical drawings
- Skilled in conduit bending
- Experience supervising or mentoring apprentices
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Organized, self-motivated and safety-focused

Pay: $41.50-$43.00 per hour
