Position Overview
Guy's Custom Cabinets is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily operations of our custom cabinet fabrication facility. This role is critical to ensuring seamless coordination between production, delivery, and installation teams while maintaining our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Compensation starts at $30/hour, with higher pay available based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day cabinet shop operations and workflow
- Manage day-to-day site installations
- Order materials and supplies, maintaining optimal inventory levels
- Schedule production timelines and coordinate delivery logistics
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to cabinet fabrication and installation
- Set up installation crews with proper materials, specifications, and job site information
- Coordinate between fabrication and field teams to ensure project success
- Maintain quality control standards throughout production process
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely material delivery
- Oversee shop safety protocols and maintain organized work environment
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in cabinet making, carpentry or trades operations
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills
- Proven problem-solving abilities in fast-paced production environment
- Experience managing teams and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of cabinet construction methods and materials
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to drive a truck and trailer
Preferred Skills
- Experience with custom cabinet operations
- Background in residential and commercial millwork
- Familiarity with project management software
