Overview
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Front Desk Associate to join our team. The role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a sales-driven mindset, and experience in retail or customer service environments. This is a Part-Time position working 15-25 hours weekly, Monday to Friday 4:30-9:30pm and Sundays 10:30am-2:30pm. This is an hourly position making $20.00CAD an hour with high commission opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Greets members and guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Answers incoming phone calls and responds to email inquiries promptly
- Promote and sell gym memberships, packages, equipment, and services
- Manage new member sign-ups, renewals, and accounts
- Provide accurate information on pricing, promotions, events, and facility offerings
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front-desk and viewing area
- Assist with day-to-day front office operations and member support
- Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and issuing receipts
- Upsell products or services to enhance customer experience and meet sales goals
- Manage appointment and trial scheduling and coordinate with other departments for seamless operations
- Demonstrate strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively
Qualifications
- Excellent phone and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong sales ability with confidence in promoting memberships
- Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent phone etiquette
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cashiering and sales transactions
- Proficiency with technology tools such as POS systems, computers, and basic software applications
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanor and professional appearance
- Previous customer service or sales experience is an asset
