B&A PETR0LEUM LTD. is seeking qualified applicants who are located in or willing to relocate to ASSINIBOIA, SK for FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT as a BULK FUEL PLANT MANAGER. We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated, detail- oriented individual to provide strong leadership, manage daily operations, support staff and optimize customer relations. As site manager, the successful candidate will coordinate company, regulatory and customer standards through safe, efficient and informed compliance to industry standards, and a collaborative, customer focused, safety-oriented approach.
Responsibilities
· Oversee daily site and cardlock operations and inspections, fleet, scheduling, and workforce coordination
· Supervise personnel, monitor and direct safety compliance and reporting with company policy, procedures and legislative requirements, and identify and address operational needs through regular and ongoing use of prudent operations tools/accountability processes, collaboration and coordination with staff and safety team
· Maintain site, cardlock and equipment cleanliness and readiness, and troubleshoot, report and arrange for preventative maintenance and repairs
· Operate site and office equipment as required to perform assigned tasks
· Perform fuel reconciliation and inventory tracking/management, review invoices and transfer slips, etc.
· Manage site expenses, budget, time management, leave applications and time sheets
· Maintain accurate records and reporting using electronic platforms/files, hard copies and submissions to appropriate company personnel making sure that they are accurate and complete
· Perform administrative tasks as required including customer billing, preparing statements, data entry, month end reporting, reading and responding to email, answering the telephone, and other related processes
· Participate in and provide oversite for training, drills, inspections, emergency response and toolbox meetings
· Coordinate logistics for customer orders, dispatch, transfers, ordering and receiving product
· Maintain and build positive customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries about products and pricing, and follow-up to concerns in a helpful, timely, respectful manner
· Work to grow the business within the service area by actively networking for new fuel and lubricant sales, monitoring local competitive environments, and identifying new opportunities for expansion and growth
· Participate in management meetings and provide timely updates on local operations and issues
· Work collaboratively with other sites within the company, contractors, local service providers and community
· Be available after hours as required to respond to and assess emergent, urgent, customer time-sensitive or safety related matters or for periodic travel to training or manager meetings
Skills and Qualifications
· Prior sales, fuel, lubricants, propane, animal nutrition or related industry experience will be an asset
· Advanced literacy, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required
· Proven ability to manage staff and workflow by performing and delegating tasks in a calm, methodical, and participatory manner with a minimum of 1 year experience in an operational, supervisory or managerial role
· Skilled at using Microsoft office and experience navigating operating systems, spreadsheets, email, Teams, etc. (Ability to troubleshoot basic technology or equipment fixes would be a plus)
· Must be able to problem-solve, work well in pressure/emergent situations, meet timelines and be flexible
· Must be physically fit, willing and able to lift, bend, kneel, do physical work in a various weather conditions
· Mechanical ability, safety and related professional/technical credentials/certifications would be an asset
· Other combinations of skills and experience will be considered
