Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to set up, operate, and maintain CNC press brakes for forming metal parts to specification. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC press brakes to bend and form sheet metal and plate
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders
- Select appropriate tooling, back gauges, and programs for each job
- Perform first-article inspections and in-process quality checks
- Make adjustments to ensure dimensional accuracy and repeatability
- Handle material safely using cranes, forklifts, and lifting devices as required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures
Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years of experience operating CNC press brakes (Amada, Trumpf, Bystronic, or similar)
- Strong ability to read technical drawings and understand tolerances
- Knowledge of metal forming, bend allowances, and material behavior
- Experience working with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
Preferred Assets
- Forklift and/or overhead crane certification
- Experience in a custom fabrication or job-shop environment
- Basic CNC programming or setup experience
