Position Details
Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking local Journeyperson Finishing Carpenters for work at our MNP Project in Calgary, AB
- Schedule Rotation: Monday - Friday
- Benefits and RRSP Provided As Per Collective Agreement
- Start Date: ASAP
What You Will Be Working On
- Install high quality interior finishes in a large-scale recration facility
- Fit and install trim items such as doors, stairs, molding and hardware
- Complete installation of baseboards, casing, wall panels, millwork and other architectural finishes.
- Work with prefabricated and custom millwork, cabinetry, and feature elements
- Read and interpret blueprints, finishing schedules, and drawings
- Ensure all finishing work meets strict quality, durability, and public use standards typical of rec centres
- Perform detailed finishing, touch-ups, and deficiency corrections for project turnover
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in an active construction environment
What We Are Looking For
- Valid Journeyperson certificate in the trade of Carpentry
- CSTS 2020
- WHMIS 2015
- Strong experience in commercial finishing carpentry
- Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work
- The ability to lift, carry and handle weight up to 50lbs
- Must be organized, self-driven, and have ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
