Golden Crust Specialty Bakery is seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to handle heavy lifting, and effective communication with both customers and warehouse staff.
Responsibilities
- Arrive on time each day and assist bakers with slicing and bagging fresh bread for delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness of the delivery vehicle.
- Perform daily vehicle checks and report any issues to management.
- Deliver products in a timely manner while maintaining a friendly attitude and good relationships with clients.
- Provide exceptional service to customers and help manage inventory with the stores we service.
- Act professionally at all times as the face of Golden Crust Specialty Bakery.
- Follow all road rules and regulations.
- Maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driver's abstract.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in commercial driving or delivery preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks related to moving goods.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and customers.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings and Saturdays
