We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, altering, and repairing clothing to meet customer specifications. As a tailor, you will play a vital role in ensuring our clients receive high-quality, well-fitted garments that meet their expectations.
Responsibilities
- Measure clients accurately to determine tailoring needs
- Alter and adjust clothing to fit individual specifications using sewing machines and hand tools
- Repair damaged garments, including patching, hemming, and replacing zippers or buttons
- Consult with customers to understand their preferences and provide expert advice on fit and style
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
- Keep detailed records of work performed for each customer
Experience
- Prior experience in tailoring, sewing, or garment alteration is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Basic math skills are essential for taking accurate measurements and calculating fabric requirements
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and understand their needs
- Attention to detail and precision in all aspects of sewing and garment fitting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment
