At On Side, Contents Technicians show up every day with a can-do attitude and desire to help. This team does vital work helping clients save precious possessions and memories with empathy, compassion, and hard work. When disaster strikes, Contents Technician teams are deployed to restore order out of chaos and clean up the aftermath. Working on site and in the On Side warehouse means no day or disaster is ever the same.
The Lead of this team reports to the Operations Manager and helps with the day-to-day on-site direction of the team. Leading communications with Project Managers, Adjusters and trades communication skills are a necessary requirement of the job.

- Salary Range: $26-$30/hour

What You’ll Do
- Leading and providing direction to the team
- Communicating with cross-functional teams and clients
- Working with customers to restore personal and commercial items to pre-disaster state
- Packing and cataloging contents from disaster affected areas and creating inventory lists
- Pre and post construction cleaning
- Cleaning contents and structures, fabrics and textiles
- Moving boxes, furniture, appliances and various heavy items
What You Bring
- Industry knowledge and 2+ years’ experience as a Contents Technician
- Experience and/or aptitude to lead a team right away
- Tech savviness (Encircle experience and capability to learn application and computer programs as required)
- Physically fit (ability to lift, carry and pack boxes, move furniture and appliances) and willingness to follow all company safety requirements
- You love people and have great communication skills
- An optimistic outlook and a real desire to help (must have initiative and be dependable)
- Exceptional organizational skills (must be able to assess a situation and communicate plan effectively)
- Reliability (on time and always prepared)
- Valid driver’s license & clean drivers abstract
- Clean criminal record
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal

- Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement. Meaning you’ll work regular weekday hours and participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.

Experience:
- Restoration industry: contents: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Canadian Class 5 Driver's License (required)
