We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food preparation and presentation. The Kitchen Supervisor plays a vital role in fostering a positive team atmosphere while ensuring efficient and smooth kitchen operations.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and servers
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area
- Assist with training new staff members and provide ongoing coaching to team members
- Monitor food service operations to ensure timely delivery of orders and excellent customer experience
- Enforce health and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with management on menu planning, special events, and operational improvements
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to uphold service standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management
- Supervising experience within a food service or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, food industry trends, and restaurant workflows
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Food handling certification or relevant training
