Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with product selection, and maintaining an organized and attractive sales environment. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services that meet their needs
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, process payments accurately, and manage cash handling procedures
- Maintain knowledge of merchandise including gardening supplies, horticulture products, and landscape maintenance tools
- Restock shelves and ensure displays are attractive and organized according to merchandising standards
- Provide product information and recommendations to customers, enhancing their shopping experience
- Support e-commerce initiatives by assisting with online orders or inquiries when needed
- Engage in effective communication with customers in English; multilingual skills are a plus
- Assist with inventory management and stock organization to ensure product availability
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and checkout area
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering procedures is advantageous
- Knowledge of gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is a plus
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are beneficial
- Organizational skills to manage stock levels and maintain an appealing sales environment
- Customer service experience demonstrating professionalism and problem-solving abilities
