Field Support Staff Manager - PEI/NS
- Field-Based Across Assigned Clinics
- Full-Time
- Travel Required
- Combination of Hourly clinical rate + Leadership stipend
Lead Teams. Stay Clinical. Build the Future.
We are looking for a Field Support Staff Manager to help lead and support our veterinary teams across multiple clinic locations.
This is not a traditional management role where you sit behind a desk all day. You’ll continue working hands-on in clinic as an RVT or experienced Veterinary Assistant while also serving as a regional leader responsible for staffing, onboarding, coaching, recruitment, and team development.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, communicates directly and professionally, and knows how to balance empathy with accountability.
If you’re already someone your team naturally looks to for leadership — even without a formal title — we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Supporting multiple clinic teams across your assigned region
- Building and managing support staff schedules
- Coaching and mentoring team members in real time
- Leading onboarding and training for new hires
- Supporting hiring and recruitment efforts
- Addressing performance concerns professionally and proactively
- Helping clinics navigate operational and workflow changes
- Providing direct clinical coverage when needed
- Facilitating weekly team L10 meetings
What We’re Looking For
- RVT preferred; experienced Veterinary Assistants will be considered
- Strong clinical experience is required
- Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable having difficult conversations and holding teams accountable
- Experience mentoring, coaching, onboarding, or supervising others
- Strong emotional intelligence and professionalism under pressure
- Able to influence teams and build trust across multiple clinic locations
- Highly organized and comfortable making independent decisions
- Comfortable with regular travel between clinics
Why This Role Is Different
This is an opportunity to grow beyond a single clinic and directly influence the development, culture, and operational success of multiple teams.
You’ll work closely with operational leadership while remaining connected to the day-to-day realities of clinic life — allowing you to lead with credibility, practicality, and empathy.
This role is ideal for someone looking to grow into broader operational or regional leadership in veterinary medicine.
Compensation & Schedule
- Competitive hourly clinical rate, minimum 30hours/week in clinic
- Additional annual leadership stipend per assigned clinic
- Combination of clinical shifts and flexible leadership/admin responsibilities
- Approximately one on-call weekend per month
