Looking for a hard working and dedicated Full Time Veterinary Assistant who is passionate about animal care. We take care of cats and dogs at our clinic as well as all kinds of exotics, including birds, reptiles and pocket pets.
Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is preferred and knowledge of Avimark is an asset, however, not mandatory. Strong communication and customer service skills are required. An integral part of this position is communicating with your coworkers and clients clearly and effectively.
As part of the veterinary team your responsibilities will include receptionist duties such as greeting clients, booking appointments, answering phones/emails, general cleaning and clinic maintenance. Other duties include assisting the veterinarian and technicians with appointments, including animal restraint, taking x-rays and prepping for surgery.
We are also home to 2 Clinic Cats and 2 Guinea Pigs who will quickly steal Your heart.
Job requirements are:
Minimum 1-2 years commitment
Availability from Monday - Saturday, clinic closed on Wednesdays and Sundays
30 - 40 hours per week
Including 3 - 4 Saturdays a month
Salary: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
Education (preferred):
Completed Veterinary Assistant or Animal Care Program
Experience (preferred):
Veterinary Receptionist: 1 year
Veterinary Assistant: 1 year
