About the opportunity:
Best Way Stone is seeking an Industrial Millwright to join our Uxbridge Maintenance team. This position supports the ongoing operation of our manufacturing facility through the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and improvement of production equipment and plant systems.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Industrial Millwright plays an important role in supporting safe, reliable and efficient operations. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple production lines while working with a variety of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and manufacturing equipment.
What You Bring:
- Working towards completion of a 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate of Qualification; completed certification is considered an asset.
- Minimum 1-3 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
- Experience using hand tools and maintenance equipment; exposure to welding and machining tools such as lathes, milling machines and drill presses is considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
- Welding experience (MIG, TIG, and/or ARC) is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office is considered an asset.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs and rebuilds on production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Inspect equipment and identify potential maintenance concerns before they impact production.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Support general facility maintenance, fabrication and repair activities.
- Operate lifting and hoisting equipment safely and in accordance with established procedures.
- Follow all health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Support additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Maintain a clean, organized and hazard-free work area.
- Work in a manner that protects the safety of employees, contractors, customers and visitors.
- Report hazards, unsafe conditions, incidents or near misses promptly.
- Participate in required health and safety training and emergency procedures.
- Follow all Lockout/Tagout and equipment isolation requirements.
This is a full-time permanent position based at our Uxbridge location and is primarily scheduled Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 2:00pm. However, candidates must be available to work afternoon shifts (2:00pm to 10:00pm), Saturdays and travel to our Woodbridge facility as required to support operational and maintenance needs. Schedule requirements may vary based on production demands, maintenance activities and business requirements.
