Warehouse & Counter Associate — Industrial Supply

About PROBUY
PROBUY is a growing industrial MRO distributor based in Tilbury, Delta. We supply welding consumables, abrasives, PPE, safety supply, and fasteners to fabricators, contractors, and industrial shops across the Lower Mainland.
We're a small team. That means what you do actually matters, you'll learn the products properly, and you won't spend your day as a number on a pick line.
The Role
You'll run the physical side of our Delta location — receiving, shipping, deliveries — and support customers at the front counter. It's a mix of warehouse work and customer contact, not one or the other.
Day to day:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify against packing slips, put away stock
- Pick, pack, and stage customer orders for pickup and delivery
- Run local deliveries to customer sites in Delta, Surrey, Langley, and Richmond
- Serve walk-in and will-call customers at the front counter
- Keep the warehouse organized — bin locations accurate, aisles clear, inventory where it should be
- Assist with cycle counts and receiving discrepancies
- General upkeep of the shop and yard
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Valid BC Class 5 driver's licence and a clean driver's abstract
- Able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and stay on your feet through a shift
- Reliable and on time — this is a small team and your absence is felt
- Comfortable talking to customers face to face
- Basic computer skills (order entry, email)
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
Nice to have — but we'll train the right person:
- Experience in industrial, welding, construction, safety, or auto parts supply
- Forklift certification (we'll pay for it if you don't have it)
- Familiarity with welding consumables, abrasives, or PPE
What matters most: we'd rather hire someone who wants to learn the products than someone who already knows the job and stopped being curious about it.
Where It Goes
This role has a defined path, and we put it in writing in your offer letter:
- Start: $22–26/hr based on what you bring on day one
- 6 months: wage review on hitting clear milestones — forklift ticket, picking any order unassisted, knowing our core product lines
- 12–18 months: $28+/hr plus commission on counter sales for anyone who can run the front counter independently
