Position: Skilled Construction Labourer / Flooring Installer - Industrial Trailer Units
Salary: $25-28/hr
Location: Acheson, AB (Must have own reliable transportation to site)
Temporary 3-4 week position - 40 hours + Overtime available
Seeking experienced Construction Labourers to assist with installing vinyl flooring in multiple trailer units. Candidates should have at least 2+years of experience in flooring installation and be familiar with measuring, preparing rooms, installing underlay/sound proofing and other materials, cutting and installing linoleum flooring package.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow scope of work unless direct otherwise by the Foreman/Lead hand
* Preparing rooms for flooring
* Installing underlay, sound proofing, moisture barrier, etc
* Cutting and installing linoleum flooring and linoleum baseboards.
* Assisting other trades crews as required
* Ensure all safety codes are followed and proper safety attire is always worn.
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
* Previous Flooring install or other similar experience
* Experience in a trailer manufacturing plant is an asset!
* Ability to take direction and follow through on instructions
* General construction safety knowledge
* Committed dedication to safety; reflected in practice and experience
Physical Requirements
* Stand or walk for long periods of time
* Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
* Climbing stairs/ladders regularly
