We are a property management company that owns and manages several residential buildings in the Wetaskiwin area. We’re looking for a reliable, resourceful, and versatile person to help us with the day-to-day operations and upkeep of our rental properties.
Job Description
The person in this role will be responsible for ensuring that our buildings are well-maintained and that tenant requests are handled promptly and professionally. This is a hands-on, varied position that requires someone who is practical, organized, and comfortable with light maintenance and renovation work.
Main Responsibilities:
- Respond to tenant requests and visit the properties when needed to assess and resolve issues
- Perform minor repairs as needed, within your skill level (e.g., painting, caulking, light plumbing, basic electrical, replacing hardware, etc.)
- Coordinate or dispatch professional contractors for larger repairs when necessary
- Visit the properties several times per week to ensure everything is in good condition
- Maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of common areas (indoors and outdoors)
- Ensure the overall good condition and safety of the buildings
- Assist in preparing units between tenants (cleaning, touch-ups, small repairs, etc.)
Ideal Candidate:
- Reliable, independent, and versatile
- Hands-on and solution-oriented
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with tenants
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Previous experience in maintenance, renovation, or property management is an asset
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (required)
