2nd Year to Journeyperson
We’re seeking a full-time 2nd Year to Journeyperson Mechanic for our Edmonton location.
Specializing in the Oil & Gas Industry, Bizi Transport proudly offers chemical, sulphur, frac sand, chemical, and cryogenic freight services across Canada.
The ideal Heavy-Duty Mechanic will have a professional attitude, be a self-motivated team player who can mentor, lead and contribute to our culture of inclusion and diversity with ease.
Responsibilities
- Service/repair of tractors and trailers.
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Work with drivers to understand their concerns and properly diagnose any issues.
- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment for faults and malfunctions, determining repairs as needed.
- Perform rebuilds as required.
- Test equipment for optimal performance.
- Repair to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Organize & maintain shop (Housekeeping).
- Order parts and supplies as needed.
- Correctly update work orders.
Qualifications
- 2nd Year to Journeyman HD Mechanic.
- CVIP Inspection License is considered a huge asset.
- Valid Class 5 with clean driving record.
- A demonstrated ability to learn, ask questions, and see a job through from start to finish.
- Willingness to follow safety policies and procedures.
- A strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Testing.
