Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff supervision
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality
- Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Support menu development and contribute innovative ideas for dishes
- Serve as a role model for team members by demonstrating professionalism and leadership
Skills
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling techniques
