Our structure:
- Juniors handle daily processing
- Seniors own files, perform key work, and ensure accuracy
The Role
This is a hands-on senior position in a high-volume, multi-client environment.
You will:
- Own client files from start to finish
- Perform weekly and monthly reconciliations
- Review junior work and provide feedback
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and deadlines are met
This role combines execution + review. You are both doing the work and overseeing it.
What You’ll Do
- Manage multiple client files daily
- Perform and review bank & credit card reconciliations (weekly)
- Complete full-cycle bookkeeping through trial balance
- Own month-end and year-end close
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
- File GST/PST/HST returns
- Process and review payroll + source deductions
- Handle WCB and Employer Health Tax (EHT)
- Monitor client cash flow reporting
- Review and approve junior work
- Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies independently
- Complete cleanup / catch-up work when needed
What We’re Looking For
- 4–6+ years in public practice or multi-client bookkeeping
- Strong QuickBooks Online experience
- Strong Excel experience
- Proven ability to manage multiple clients independently
- Full-cycle bookkeeping through trial balance
Strong knowledge of:
- Payroll & source deductions
- GST/PST/HST
- WCB & EHT
- Accruals, prepaids, deferred revenue
- Capital assets & depreciation
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Experience reviewing junior work
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
