## Job Overview
We are seeking a PART TIME detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in the smooth operation of a pediatric medical office by providing excellent administrative support.
This position is a PART TIME position with hours that will vary based on the physician's schedule with the hospital.
## Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the office calendar
- Maintain electronic medical records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality
- Handle phone calls, emails, and other communications efficiently
- Collect patient information, do vital measurements, and patient basic testing.
- Experience with clinic and hospital billing and coding procedures would be an asset.
- Referral follow up,
- Perform general office duties such as scanning, faxing, and data entry
- Work as a team member
## Qualifications
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical office procedures
- Experience with electronic medical records systems like Accuro is preferred
- Strong administrative skills including knowledge of office procedures and phone systems
- Previous experience as in a medical office setting is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Medical Office Diploma from Canadian institutions is preferred.
-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
Compensation dependent on Experience.
