Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. This role is vital in providing exceptional service to our customers, managing transactions accurately, and creating a welcoming shopping environment. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a professional manner
- Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling, credit card processing, and returns
- Provide product demos and explain features to customers to facilitate informed purchasing decisions
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing products and displays according to company guidelines
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
- Ensure the checkout area remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail technology is advantageous
- Ability to perform product demos and engage customers through upselling techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly attitude and professionalism
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
