Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plumber/Welder to join our manufacturing and construction team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems and metal structures using various welding techniques. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in blueprint reading, and experience with a variety of tools and machinery. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, ductwork, and related components according to schematics and blueprints
- Perform welding operations including MIG, TIG, and plasma cutting to fabricate or repair metal parts
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions for accurate project execution
- Operate machinery such as press brake machines, cranes, forklifts, and machining tools safely and efficiently
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure quality standards are met
- Conduct rigging operations for lifting heavy materials or equipment using cranes or forklifts
- Assemble components accurately following technical drawings and specifications
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Assist with basic math calculations related to measurements, material quantities, and project specifications
Skills
- Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG and TIG welding; experience with plasma cutting is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge of piping systems, ductwork, machinery, and fabrication processes
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately
- Experience operating heavy machinery such as cranes, forklifts, press brake machines, and machining tools
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other precision measurement devices
- Strong understanding of construction principles related to plumbing and metal fabrication
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during installation or fabrication processes
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing or construction environment
