Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and energetic <PERSON> to join our dynamic team! Your expertise in hair extensions, coloring, styling, and grooming will help clients look and feel their best. As a key team member, you will also manage retail sales, assist with front desk operations, and contribute to maintaining a clean, sanitary, and professional space. Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, color application based on color theory principles, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and nail care treatments.
- Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, process transactions, and manage client records efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by understanding client needs, offering professional advice on hair care products and retail items, and upselling services to enhance client satisfaction.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety by adhering to proper sterilization procedures for tools like straight razors and ensuring the salon environment is clean and organized.
- Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointment bookings, answering inquiries, and handling retail sales with strong retail math skills.
- Mentor new team members in hair styling techniques, salon protocols, and customer service excellence.
- Support store management in daily operations to ensure smooth workflow and a positive client experience.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hair styling, barbering, or cosmetology with a strong knowledge of hair extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care.
- Familiarity with salon software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for scheduling and client management.
- Solid understanding of color theory for custom coloring services.
- Skilled in sanitation practices using tools like straight razors and maintaining a hygienic workspace.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with clients and team members effectively.
- Experience in retail sales techniques including upselling and retail math calculations.
- Knowledge of store management principles is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
