Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages promptly
- Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accurately using Cleardent systems
- Prepare patient charts, check-in paperwork, and ensure all necessary documentation is complete before appointments
- Handle appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations with efficiency and accuracy
- Assist with billing processes, including processing payments and explaining treatment costs to patients
- Maintain a clean, organized front desk area while adhering to office policies on confidentiality and privacy
Experience
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a must
- Familiarity with Cleardent and MaxAssist (Recall Max) is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) and office equipment such as multi-line phone systems
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated administrative experience in healthcare or similar office settings is desirable
