As an Field Technician at Industrial Matrix, you will directly impact our customers' first impressions and project launch. You'll work directly with customers to successfully install solution specific hardware. You'll take a strategic approach to ensure our customers equipment is installed correctly and provides accurate data for the Customer & Customer Success Managers to analyze. Your effective and efficient hardware installations will ensure each and every customer is set up correctly from the beginning. This is the critical first step to our customer's adoption of the many Industrial Matrix solutions which sets the tone for their Condition Monitoring culture.
A Day In Your Life at Industrial Matrix
- You understand how our customers' equipment and processes work and use this knowledge to correctly install various sensor and hardware offerings.
- You take pride in owning the hardware installation experience and make sure the customer moves swiftly through the installation phase of the customer lifecycle.
- You will coach each customer's Maintenance team on sensor & hardware placement/installation and maintenance.
- You educate the customer and understand that they're always looking for new, better, and easier ways of doing their job or increasing the bottom line.
- You engage customers using a consultative approach and regular communications leading up to the installation to ensure each installation is completed without a hitch.
- You work seamlessly with the Customer Success and Product teams to deliver continuous value to our customers and drive platform adoption through high quality installation.
- When not planning or running an on site installation you will work with the Product lead to build and test customer orders as well as testing new hardware for new product offerings.
What You must bring to Industrial Matrix
- Experience: 2+ years in a Manufacturing Maintenance or related function in a production facility or technology-centric environment.
- Education: Electrical or Mechanical skilled trades and or ISO CAT 1 Vibration Analysis certification is preferred.
- Tech savviness: Technical understanding/aptitude of machines from the Industrial manufacturing arena is a strong advantage, specifically with industrial motors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings and communications.
- Must be technically minded and mechanically inclined.
- Must be motivated, detail oriented, self starter & effective team and individual contributor
- Must be familiar with hand and power tools, able to climb ladders and work at heights from time to time and be comfortable working in tight/dirty/poorly lit environments.
- Must be flexible to travel in North America and work weekends and off hours as needed to accommodate customer's schedules for installation.
- Manufacturing experience is a must.
- Must have clean background check and valid G driver's license
- Relationship building: Proven ability building strong relationships with Maintenance & Reliability teams.
- Strong communicator: Clear and concise written and verbal skills with the ability to craft
- compelling stories to advocate for the customer.
What would be considered an asset
- Bi & Multilingual skills is a plus
- Experience with online condition-based monitoring system (i.e. CSI/AMS/Emerson, Bentley/GE & etc.) is an asset
- CRL (Certified Reliability Leader) &/or SMRP (Society for Maintenance and Reliability
- Professionals) certification is a plus
