Primary Objective of the Position:
To coordinate the Repair, Overhaul, Calibration, and Quotation of Tooling and Rotable Components, with a strong emphasis on proactively tracking parts throughout the repair life cycle and maintaining timely, accurate status communication across vendors and internal stakeholders (Maintenance, Procurement, and Supply Chain).
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proactively track all parts sent for repair through the full repair life cycle — from removal and shipment to vendor receipt, repair, and return — maintaining continuous visibility of each unit's status, location, and expected return date.
- Maintain timely and accurate communication on repair status with vendors and internal teams, including Maintenance, Procurement, and Supply Chain, escalating delays or exceptions before they impact operations.
- Monitor daily component removals at all stations; maintain Quarantine, ensuring components are actioned in a timely manner and kept organized.
- Coordinate with outbases on pending returns of unserviceable parts and drop-ship to vendors from outbases as required.
- Ensure Critical Rotable Spares are properly allocated throughout the Cargojet network, in conjunction with the Supervisor of Rotable Control.
- Initiate and update Repair Orders and Exchange Orders (Cores/Loaners) with approved vendors on Cargojet's Approved Vendor List (AVL).
- Track and report KPIs including repair turnaround time (TAT) adherence, cost savings initiatives, warranty recoveries, and vendor performance metrics.
- Analyze rotable performance trends, including high-failure components and No Fault Found (NFF) rates, to support cost reduction strategies and long-term planning.
- Coordinate with Purchasing as needed on URGENT AOG shipments for repair.
- Proactively expedite and follow up on repairs with vendors to meet required turnaround times.
- Communicate and follow up with Records regarding parts installation/removals and verification of data plates.
- Track the timely return of core and loaner units for exchange orders.
- Handle shipping as required, including quoting LTL and FTL shipments, and loading/unloading trucks as necessary.
- Keep the work area clean and organized at all times.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned, incidental to the work described herein.
- Complete all company training as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the component repair life cycle, including exposure to rotable components.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 HANA and AMOS/TRAX (aviation maintenance/MRO systems) is required.
- Previous repair coordination experience is an asset.
- Aptitude for understanding Parts Catalogues, Technical Manuals, and Interchangeability databases.
- Must be well organized, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to monitor rotable trends and root-cause issues.
- Proven ability to maintain proactive, accurate communication across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize workloads, and meet time-sensitive deadlines (e.g., AOG situations).
- Forklift training is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
