Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Welder / Metal Fabricator to join our team in a high-mix, custom fabrication environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in structural steel fabrication, welding, and material handling, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to produce high-quality custom fabrications.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding using FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding), SMAW (Stick), GMAW (MIG), and GTAW (TIG) processes.
- Weld and fabricate custom components including tanks, frames, drums, and structural steel assemblies.
- Support layout, fitting, and welding operations for custom fabrication projects.
- Cut and prepare materials using oxy-acetylene equipment, plate bevellers, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
- Perform dimensional inspections using measuring tapes, verniers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Operate semi-automatic welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Operate forklifts, hoists, and other lifting devices as required.
- Handle and move materials throughout the fabrication facility.
- Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, including safe material handling, machine operation, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a large metal fabrication or custom welding environment.
- AEC, DEP, Skilled Trade Certificate, or equivalent trade qualification.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
- Experience working with structural steel, plate materials, and stainless steel.
- Ability to weld in Flat, Horizontal, Vertical, and Overhead positions.

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
